Just joined, so a bit late in chipping in. Here is a photo I took of G-FLAK (I think flown by the man himself) haring around a turning point marker (seen in another pic, of an SA Bulldog – race No. 14) in an air race at Staverton, c1986(?).
Camera/photo not great quality but interesting in that it’s an action shot taken during a race, rather than a static shot of it parked. It’s also in the colour scheme you’re looking for.
