Not been nor ever likely to go, but this photo diary was linked on Facebook. It’s like being there, but less expensive. If only there was one for Brenzett…

You wouldn’t be allowed in if you didn’t “mention the War”, Ian!

I may have to get a passport, Anon! It will be a challenge not to ‘mention the war’ however.

That sounds like a good idea, JC.
Speyer looks great, though I couldn’t be bothered with all the faff to get across the channel and the driving, etc. A Forum trip with a night’s accommodation might be a new way to approach these events. It would also give a great opportunity not only to have a catch-up with seldom-seen friends and acquaintances but a beer (or two) as well.

A forum coach trip perhaps !

Thanks for the Link Ian, I heard about Speyer but being able to have the visual depiction is so much better. Looks like it’s a great event, must get myself over there next year!

I knew I shouldn’t have looked, it’, F4 and Tornado stuff I want in those pictures.
I am sure though the prices of stuff will be pretty high, plus going over there makes it an impossibility, back to Ebay

It reminds me a little bit of how the early Yeovilton, Tangmere, Fontwell and Shoreham events used to be.
Those were the days.
Remember the piles of Hurricane canopies, the trailer load of Spitfire spares, the pile of Harvard control columns with AH2040 grips and the chap from Ireland with a van load of Spitfire cowlings, elevators and the like?
