Hello folks,
Three years ago at Rougham, the Spirit of Kent Spitfire dropped in and gave an impromptu display which was pretty breathtaking. I have since wondered who the pilot was and recently found a video on Youtube, of a display elsewhere crediting the flying to Dan Griffith(s?). I put a comment on YouTube, but it occurs to me that I’ve got photos from Rougham – can someone ID who the pilot was? At the time, the whole crowd stopped in their tracks to watch and three years later on we still sometimes talk about it 😉
Cheers!

Pretty sure that is Dan Griffiths, saw him display MK912 at Coolings Garden Centre of all places last June, a fantastic display that day.
Apparently Duxford yesterday was his 500th display.

Looks like Dan to me in that close up. Manston’s displays were always superb, nice and close and the manovers constantly flowing.

If it was Dan Griffiths I would not be surprised. I have seen him display the aircraft three times and he flies an exceptional display.
