Spit MkXIX in France – from monday to friday

5 days at Dijon for aerobatics training.
Steve Hinton was there to get the Spit back on its wheels.
Here are some pics from day 1 to day 5 (no exactly the best quality…)

Day1: clouds and rain… the Spit already got it’s new blue paint on.
Total of 260lbs ballast in the back, including 70lbs to trim the extra weight of the 2nd prop

Amazing pictures there Inverted. You can see the spitfire coming back in one piece.

Thank you very much for taking these pics and to share them.

Yeah I do, He has kind of dropped of the airshow map in recent years. Concentrating on importing Yaks methinks.

Whats the story with the Yak?

Could the Yak coming to the UK be behind the reason the Spit was briefly registered to a Mr R Goode?

Refreshed paint.

You must have blinked and missed it as it passed through the UK.

Great and informative shots – thanks for posting.

Interesting to see just what it needs to keep that old Shack prop within CoG limits.

Here we are with the props !!
They also ran engine tests but, sorry, you won’t see the test flight as I had to drive back home 😡
Look at this great team: Steve doesn’t speak french and Henry can’t get a word in english 😀 but they’ve made it !!
