Not your everyday question.
When the Spitful was produced did Supermarine use yellow etchprimer to protect the skin before painting or were wartime procedures used where the bare aluminium skin was sprayed/painted over?

Be nice wouldn’t it Oxcart? I was in touch with a South African guy living in London about 20 years ago who wanted to do something like that. Lost touch and can’t remember his name now, wonder if he ever made a start on it.

ive found jointing compound, but I cannot remember much in way of primer…but then again, these are from Spiteful prototype NN660
