Spitfire 18 SM969 G-BRAF

Can anyone shed some light on its service with the Indian Air Force please?

I am interested in reports that the aircraft was involved in a fatal crash in December1946.

Can anyone confirm this and its movements afterwards?

I have read that it was returned to the UK for repair but also i have read it was repaired in india and remained there before recovery by Doug Arnold.

Any clues??
