Could anyone provide, or point me in the direction of, any photos of Spitfire 18s in service with either 32 or 208 Squadrons??
Also, I’d be willing to drool over some of the airworthy ones, if poss? 🙂
Thanks in advance.

If someone could photoshop this in SM845’s markings, you’d get an idea! 😉

Lol, Daz.
When you see and hear one of these babies up close (esp the Griffon ones), then the drool-factor redlines big time !!!
Waiting to see what the DazDaMan Spitfire ends up looking like…. 😉

The Griffon would be about as big as the Spit itself! 😀 And ten gallons of fuel would last how long?? 😉

Can’t wait to see your Spit with a Griffon up front.

Nice, Merlin 🙂
I’ve been thinking what my Isaacs Spit might look like – and it’s something like these! 😀

Daz. No historic pics in my library but a couple of more recent ones taken at DX during the Rolls Royce centenary event.

Excellent – I just went through my little reference library and found no Spitfire 18 pics at all!

Thanks for those, Dan.
I’ve just noticed something, though. SM845 currently carries the markings worn by the Spitfire in the bottom pic. Notice it carries C-type roundels, so SM845 should carry the same (not that it matters, of course! ;))
