Anyone know anything about this?
I was browsing last night through the nearest branch of Borders bookshop (about 12 miles away!!) and came across a Spitfire book that I didn’t have! 😮
SPITFIRE ACE – Flying the Battle of Britain by Martin Davidson and James Taylor
Nicely presented book, but a little too much previously-used material, although some cracking shots of Spitfire T9 ML407 apparently being used to teach two modern-day pilots the basics of Spitfire flight (in much the same way as the modern RAF crew reflew the Dambusters raid earlier this year).
The thing that’s bugging me is the footnote at the bottom of the front cover saying “As seen on Channel 4”
First I’ve heard of it, and I’m usually quite good when it comes to wartime documentaries on C4, unless it’s not been aired yet?
Also, they manage to spell Carolyn Grace’s name correctly in one sentence, then incorrectly in another!!!

Sounds pretty good – although I imagine there won’t be any air-to-air combat simulation! 😀 😉

Ahhh, that would explain it!
Cheers guys – have a good Christmas!
I imagine some of us will be around the forums before New Year 😉

I believe that hasn’t aired yet. I think there is something about it in the new Flypast, with a small pic of Carolyn. Due to air mid jan if I remember correctly….
