OK, settle an argument here:

What are the camouflage colours of this aircraft?
I believe it has been discussed before, but I’m dragging it up again to save others the hassle of looking.
A previous post states:
This is my favourite Spitfire V shot. AD233, an early Mk V had left the factory in Temperate Land (brown and green), then was repainted at an MU with ‘Mixed Grey’ much darker than the regulation Ocean Grey. Stbd wing tip, ailerons, and top engine cowling were replaced in service, so all these items have more or less regulation Ocean Grey hue.

This has been discussed time and again without any final conclusion that satisfies everyone, partly because different prints show different colours, particularly for the area around the cockpit which should be Dark Green in by far the most common of patterns. My (and others’) interpretation is that this aircraft was originally in Dark Green – looking brown in this printing – and Mixed Grey, with replacement panels in fresh Ocean Grey. Edgar Brooks has seen the original and states that it is in Dark Green and Dark Earth. Edgar is a highly reputable reporter.

This was a pic used on one of those wall posters from Plaistow Pictorial in the 70’s. My cousin had it on his wall and from memory I think this Spit was lost over Ostend.

Daz to me it looks like it has the earlier Brown/Green camouflage with a later Grey/Green top cowling and ailerons. Possibly before being resprayed completely.
