Rolls Royce’s Spitfire XIX currently sitting pretty on the ramp in FAB.
Hope it displays as we are getting fed up with all the noisy stuff the last few days – and the airshow hasn’t even started yet!
The Plane Sailing Catalina did a nice show yesterday and another Spit was around on Tuesday – didn’t see which one though. Rumour control suggested it may have be a clipped wing one with stripes, which I think narrows it down to BBMF’s MkIX.

I think you’ll find out that the Spitfire displaying on Tuesday at FAB was “The Grace Spitfire”.
I have it on very good authority, ie the owner/pilot herself.

Is FAB a TLA (three letter acronym)?

FAB is indeed the cradle of British aviation at Farnborough. They are doing air display validations this week in preparation for next. Sorry for confusion.
BTW the Spit did display and it was very nice and we now have a very noisy Italian Tornado buzzing around.

Pardon my ignorance, but what or where is “FAB”? It must be some place in America where they park aircraft on “ramps” (we use “pans” in the UK).
