I see why you positioned your Spitfire there.
One of the best then and now shots I have ever seen.

It doesn’t look bad but there is a long way to go before it becomes ‘useable’
Baz

We ran out of time and weather to continue, there are issues with the undercarraige robustness and several other things need seriously ‘tweaking’

Yes nice pics Baz, must have been quite an effort to set up.
I don’t know if you saw the Andrew Marr history programme last night, but it showed some Spits somewhere with those style roundals.

Hi Barry,
Great to see the Spitfire at Harrowbeer; I used to walk around the old airfield every now and then dreaming of such a sight when I used to live on its doorstep. Even though access to the old field is easy (or at least it used to be) it must have taken you a long time to get it there from where you live – what made you decide to take it all that way?

Those roundels look so wrong that they must be right. 🙂

looking great.
what period are the roundels from?
May/June 1940, I believe 92 Squadron were the only ones to fly with these fuselage roundals.
