many thanks But !!

Hi, thanks for that Wiesso ,
but i allready know of all the perticulars, and have seen the photos , etc , and i know the exact spot she went down as i live 4 miles from the site ,i even have a couple of bits ,given to me ,long time ago,
but my mystery is can anyone verify what i have allways been told, and that is that she had the LONGEST Duration Flight of any spitfire during ww2 , or certainly 1943 and previous to her crash, as i was told she broke the record,
and to me it certainly seems impossible that a spitfire can travel from Gibraltar in southern spain to Oxford (her intended route), but unfortunately she crashed in the bristol area , sadly F/L Johnson was killed on Bale out and landed a mile from th crash site , right outside a cottage door, the lady who found him was in a terrible state for days ,she heard the bang on her roof and ran to the door, only to find him there, sadly he had been killled , later enquiry prooved that he had struck the aircraft on bale out,,aircraft tookoff at 09:45 AM and was plotted over south coast at 2pm, @20’000 ft
15 to 20 mins later, dived into the ground at wraxall
would be interested if anyone can confirm this mystery of the Longest flight ??
thanks again
