Spitfire DVDs etc

Can anyone recommend some good Spitfire documentaries to me please?

I’ve got the old ‘Pilot’s Eye’ one with Cliff Spink yapping on and on, and I’ve got the ‘Pilot’s View’ one with the wonderful in-cockpit sequence with Tony Bianchi.

I also have an ancient tape off the telly of one transmitted in the mid-80s, with a sequence at the end of Neil Williams flying MH434 (very tail-down, too!?) which, like a Lancaster programme transmitted the same week, was narrated by a Michael Dean. Are these available anywhere?

What about the vids available via the Grace Spitfire site- how long are they?

Any good restoration vids? And is there a vid about Hurricane R4118 at all?

Any suggestions/reviews/links very welcome, thanks!

The DVD I found most interesting was –

“From Spitfire to Saucepan” a most interesting insight into how an old aeroplane was turned into something usefull.

Have just ordered the ‘A Spitfire’s Story’ DVD via Steve’s Ebay shop then, though it’s to be a Crimbo present from the missus, so I’ll still have to wait before I see it, wah! 😀

Thanks again people! Will most likely try the MH434 one first, methinks.

I quite like ‘Spitfire-Defender of the skies’ as the second half gives you a fairly good overview of the different marks.

I managed to buy a copy of this on DVD from the Duxford shop this year.
