Spitfire MK V EE602 flew from Biggin Hill today after a three-year comprehensive rebuild.

I found an interesting contrast that the first batch of Meteors were registered in the EE …. serial range, meanwhile the piston fighters held the fort.

Congratulations to all at BHHH.
(I didn’t realise it was this close to flying).
Nice to see it was restored with the early type horn balance elevator, 10 inch wheels, and large cannon blisters.
I hope other MKV rebuilds/restorations will follow suit!
