During a conversation with an elderly lady recently, she went on to say, her husband had painted her name; ‘Elsie’ on his 72 Basutoland sqdn Spitfire.
Anyone ever hear of that name on a 72sq Spitfire ? It sure beats me !
But, I would like to find out if poss for her.

But then, quite a few pilots did the same, so it’s probably not even that one I’m thinking of! :rolleyes:
