It was a very silly episode however the kids liked it.I am not saying the Spitfire cockpit looked silly Stuart…although the disco lights were a bit odd!

For real drama I watched ep2 of Foyles War on Sunday evening.

I look forward to the unravelling of the mystery crack in the wall.

I’ve got some stuff in the garage that will fix that….

…I can only remember Amelia Pond…

I bet the length of her skirt would have raised a few eyebrows in 1940…

…cracking pair of legs though! :diablo:

As for the rest of Dr Who…..sorry, utter tosh!

Did Stukas have the range to attack central London from France?

Rod.

In the universe of Dr Who yes.

I was really looking forward to seeing the episode (been watching Dr Who since 1963!), with the Dalek in his olive drab suit, but I thought it was one of the silliest stories yet.
Overloading with CGI is no substitute for a good storyline, and ‘modernising’ the Dalek’s look just for the sake of it simply won’t do…

The Spitfire was OK but I am concerned over the authenticity of the colours worn by the “New Generation” Daleks. They look very un-BS381c to me and more Confederate Air Force Wildcat influenced;) Also the webbing worn by the old Daleks was not correct ’58 pattern…:D

quite right – it would have been 37 pattern webbing at that time

The ‘Bracewell’s Ironside’ in green camo paint with custom webbing cracked me up.. I rather liked the new colourful Daleks as well, I thought they had a look of Dyson about them 🙂

I thought they looked more like Power Rangers myself.:D

What a load of inaccurate tosh, surely that was a Mk IX Spitfire therefore not in production in 1940 🙂

but Doctor Who is all about time travel……………….;)

Liked all the odd references going on in the back ground, like 633 sqn being mentioned & “Broadsword calling Danny Boy”:D
