Spitfire flap valve question

Hi all , just a quick question here , has anyone used a substitute air valve for the flaps in a restoration static or flying.

The reason i ask is that i have a number of park brake valves as fitted to the Beaufort and Beaufighter (see pic below) and was wondering if they could be used as flap valves.

cheers dave

Beaufighter VI could also include Bolingbroke/Blenheim fuel dump valve, DB

That’s a Dunlop part number if that’s helpful.

The part shown is used in the fuel dump system on the Beaufort and Beaufighter, nothing to do with brakes. However they could be used in a brake system as the internal components are similar.

BBMF use a different valve, married to an original lever.

The one you picture looks like one part of an early brake valve. The schrader valve, and its housing is the same as the Spit flap valve.
