Spitfire History

I cant find my Spitfire history book at home here (buried under mounds of junk) so rather than tidying it up im taking the easier option….

A friend has a picture of Spitfire F21 LA257 prior to it be chopped up into bake bean tins. Can anyone furnish me with a history of the aircraft and more speicifically of who scrapped it if possible.

Is there anywhere on the net that would point me to this info?? Type in Spitfire and its death by information….
