Historic Aircraft Collection are pleased to announce that its popular
‘At Home with HAC’ events are back for this winters non-flying season
Join us for another of our popular At Home event at Imperial War Museum Duxford
Charlie Brown will be your guide along with members of HAC’s dedicated volunteers.
The afternoon starts in our workshop where you will be able to view a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and the flying surfaces of the De-Havilland DH9. We also have an exclusive set of videos to show including some stunning onboard footage of display flights.
Tour the Battle of Britain hangar and listen to Charlie’s account of operating Messerschmitt Bf109s before heading to Hangar 3 to view the HAC collection, Hawker Fury K5674, Hawker Nimrod K3661, Hurricane P3700, Spitfire BM597 and Sopwith Pup N6161.
Charlie and the team will talk about each machine, from a pilots view to an engineers.
EXCLUSIVE: be amongst the first to get up close to the Sopwith Pup N6161.!
We will have a Virtual Reality experience to try your hand at flying a P-51 or a Spitfire.
We will round off the experience with your chance to sit in Spitfire BM597 before returning for tea and cake in the office.
