A lecture covering the restoration of the Shuttleworth Collection’s Spitfire Vc, AR501 is in the early stages of planning. It is intended that there will also be a presentation on the history of AR501 as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with the airframe in the workshop. Whilst viewing the progress, pilots and engineers will be on hand to explain what is going on.
In order to fine tune the event to enthusiasts needs, I should be grateful to hear from people what sort of activities and discussions would encourage them to make the journey and part with £35.
Access to the Collection’s aircraft and vehicles would of course be part of the deal as would a hot buffet.
Saturday 8th March is the proposed date and the day would follow the format of recent lectures.
So, what would like to see and hear about and do you intend to go?
Over to you.

Include me in please! I have been following progress on the rebuild for some time, absolutely fascinating. How about a talk on the engine rebuild, following by something on the airframe and finish off with a talk on operating the machine.
