Spitfire loss 07/03/1944

Can anyone help,

I seek the serial number of a 222Sqn Spitfire which crashed on 07 March 1944.
Pilot 791193 F/Sgt. J.M. Morris (South African).

Thanks for that, did’nt realise it was over a year ago for that responce.
Just goes to show you can’t always believe what you read, one of my books list it as
EP550…..A Ju 88 .
