Spitfire machine gun fires after being buried 70 years in the ground

This summer the site of Bud wolfe’s spitfire was excavated from a peat bog in Ireland to feature in a documentry for the BBC, now 70 years later one of the brownings found during the excavation fires once again.

The recovery of his spitfire P8074 will feature early next year in one of a 3 part series called DIG WW2 presented by DAN SNOW
