Does anybody have some up to date info on spitfire mj730?It was,for a while, my local spitfire and was one of the few that was painted in a ‘donated’ colour scheme, its original? It was owned by buisness David Penell and based at East Midlands airport and it was also painted on the side of the rafbfe trailer for a couple of years.
It was sold to the usa in I believe 2000,and that was the last I heard of it.Does anybody have any info on its current status and any photo’s?
Thanks alan.

Lovely photos Eric. The P-40 is fabulous, I can confirm this from first hand experience and your photos really do it justice.
Just a point – only the last two photos show the Spitfire in its current paintwork (you can tell because it is less glossy)!

As well, I recently visited the Fighter Factory and you can see some of the images here http://www.airic.ca/html/fighter_factory.html
Happy Landings,

That’s kind of you Bradburger. I was feeling all left out there.
It’s good to see that someone else is interested in this collection.

MJ730 is owned by Jerry Yegan. He owns the Fighter Factory based in Suffolk, Virginia.
It was repainted in November 2002 by some very nice 🙂 English people, with the same paint scheme, but, this time, totally authentically.
