Anyone heard anything on whats happening to this Spitfire since it”s been back in England.Last I heard it was supposed to be at Kemble but read nothing about it since,also who is the proud owner?

Well i hope its back to flying soon. As a kid i lived in Houghton, a small town in Hampshire, John Fairey was the owner of MT 818 at the time and since he lived close by the spitfire was a frequent user of the airspace above Houghton and was a joy to watch. My mum was dating a Met officer at RAF Andover and a good way to get rid of me for a few hrs. was to drop me off at the hangar where MT 818 was kept, with a good supply of rags. I wonder if Fairey ever figured out where the extra few MPH came from,,,,,

MT818 belongs to Mr Paul Andrews who has several more in his possession, one being RM928 a MKXIV PR.
