Did anybody capture the new nose art that I believe has been applied to this machine. I gather it is a ‘Miserable Mickey Mouse’ and clearly a chuckle at the successful litigation with the Disney Corps that is reported to have funded this recent purchase.

$
A quarter of a BILLION dollars eh? 😮 😮
That’s well more than Kermit Weeks is worth. Mr. Russell could definately do a substantial amount of good within the warbird movement if he set his mind and heart to it. I hope his passion for warbirds grows with time.
Can someone say “new production DB601/605? 😀

Wow! I guess with those kinds of dollars 2.2 million for a Spit is pretty economical, cheap really. Sure wish Disney would rip off one of my ideas!

Just looked the case up – with damages like those, he could have a squadron! Good on him.

Chad,
Canadian Ed Russell has bought MK912 from HFL, and is due to have her shipped out to Canada at some point, together with a T6 for taildragger familiarisation training.
Apparently, he took on the Disney Corporation in a law suit and won considerable damages – no idea how much, or what the law suit was for, but this appears to be Ed Russell’s post-lawsuit dig at Disney.
