Spitfire MkVB PJ-K

Hi all, hope someone can help. I am trying to help a great Spitfire pilot by the name of Donald Shorland who flew MkVB Spitfires in 130 Sqdn. I am meeting him over Christmas and it would be great just to let him know what happened to his aircraft. He unfortunatly no longer has his logs and all he remembers is his aircraft number being PJ-K. I know this is a long shoot but can anyone help me. Thank you.

Thats a great bit of film, what a gem.
I was wondering if our old Spit BL370 was in shot, she was there with 130…………….could have been!

I see from my pre-production copy of Spitfire Survivors, BL370 was PJ-B.

130 Squadron Video footage

Amazing video footage of 130 Sq. taken between Feb & May 1942 at Perranporth can be found at: –

No sign of PJ-K from a quick viewing but stunning footage all the same.

Video is half the way down the page.

Good luck in your search!

Any idea of the period he flew the Spitfire? I have some photos of No. 130 Sqn Spitfire VB’s taken at RAF Ballyhalbert in Northern Ireland in 1943. I’m not sure if PJ-K is one of them, but will check.
