Spitfire MkXIV replica

Anyone fancy a Spitfire XIV replica??

These were sent to me by Terry White from Canada. The MkXIV is 5/8ths scale, owned by Ross Ferguson, and the other Spitfire is Ed Johancsik’s half-scale version with fixed gear and a 70hp Continental.

Spitfire XII/XIV/Seafire(!)

It is of all-wood construction, and powered by a V8 car engine (not sure which type) with a custom-designed gearbox for the prop. More pics coming soon, I hope 🙂

Must be a Seafire XV wing mated to a MkXII fuselage! A very nice looking homebuilt no matter a few minor discrepancies with scale accuracy.

A MkXII – well I guess it could well be! Forgot about the XII having a four-blade prop, too! (shock!) 😉

Dan,

I plead the RAF paint scheme in my defence. 😮

Daz,

Isn’t that a ‘Mk. XII’? 😉

Looks more like a Seafire XV to me 🙂

Who reaches across the pond and cuffs Mark12 for not noticing the tropical intake, full span wings, no aerial mast and no cannon plugs! on a C wing 🙂
