Why Cees ?
BR601 is restored ‘stock’ as she was in service and was not fitted with such a filter.

Strange to see the lack of the large Vokes filter intake, but it looks amazing.

Good shot !
I suppose it is the times in which we live, but whatever you do these days, it seems as though somebody will be taking a picture of you ( especially if you are zooming around in a Spitfire ! )

Great video. We were at Beachy Head on 30th September and were treated to a Hurricane and then a Spitfire flying alongside another aircraft (don’t know which type but no doubt someone will know from the photo below)
It was a lovely sunny afternoon, perhaps the film was taken that day?

Very evocative – 64 Sqdn markings – wonder if Tony Cooper flew her during her time with 64?…

Oh yes. Some very nice formation work there. Any idea what the camera aircraft was?
Not sure, but I saw a Spitfire over here a little while back (a pleasingly regular occurrence these days!), which I’m sure was that particular one, with the pair headed towards Beachy Head with an Aztec – which I know to be an often used air-to-air camera ship out of Lydd.
