Did anyone else catch a Spitfire do a few circuits over Biggin Hill before landing at about 6:30pm?
I think it was a MkV.
Anyone know the significance?

We were treated to an excellent display from BM597 yesterday evening at Leeds Castle, the fireworks later on weren’t bad either 😀

It was positioning early for the Leeds Castle event this weekend. However the significance being that Clive Denny flew it down to Biggin and parked it outside the terminal along with TA805 as it was the press luanch of Steven Bridgewaters Dawn to Dusk Spitfire Charity event you may have read about on the TP and FP forum recently. I had the privilege of being there and all followed by several pints of Spitfire Ale afterwards. A fine way to spend an evening……….

So that’s two real Spitfires at Biggin Hill right now, plus the plastic one outside the Chapel……..
TA805 is having a holiday 😉

It’s for a HAC event at Biggin.
According to Google, HAC could be:
Honourable Artillery Company (second favourite)
Hearing Aid Council
High-Alumina Cement Concrete
Historic Aircraft Collection (hot favourite)
From Yahoo:
Hot Abercrombie Chick
Hotel Association of Canada
Handbook of Applied Cryptology

It’s for a HAC event at Biggin.
Could you elaborate please?
I know that a Spitfire is due to do a flypast at Leeds Castle this Saturday evening as part of the open air concert being held there, perhaps it will be this one?

Dan
