Any idea what a Spitfire in Invasion stripes was doing in the Butlins area? It came over four times in 5 hours on Sunday afternoon, I doubt it was flying into Winthorpe aerodrome though it must have gone over it. She was to far away to see which one but the stripes stood out she looked to be a IX, elliptical winged, very low over the trees. Bloody wonderful sight!

Shes very oftens about on weekends, I think the Major likes to see Skeg from the air 🙂
