Spitfire P8677

Can anyone provide information on the above aircraft?

This fighter was named ‘Colchester and District’ which residents fundraised to buy in 1940-41 for £5,00, equivalent of £150,000 today.

It flew from June 1941 until July 1944 when it was scrapped.

Information has been requested by our former MP for Colchester Sir Bob Russell.
