Spitfire Pics

Going through some of my old photo’s from 2004, and thought i would share these couple with you all, they were taken at chailey airshow, and feature i think the best spitfire display pilot of today Mr Ray Hanna. I think these are proberbly the best pics i took over the year as they have the added bonus of a good cloud formation behind, anyway please enjoy and let me know your thoughts. as always the pictures are copyright to me.

Phil
Info is not a problem but piccies could be it’s crown copyright issues, even if you use your own camera, thats causing us problems and that includes any pictures not just air to air. Having said that I hope, if we can we will.

Hi all.
Some more from Chris taken from the rear turret of the Lanc, MK-356 this time, I was just wondering is anybody on BBMF going to supply use with pics in the future. I think i can speak for every one on this forum that we will never get tired of Photos & info from you guys in that corner of Coningsby. 🙂
Regards Phil.

Very nice shots, particularly like the one of PM631 over the north coast of Jersey.

Well that answers one of my questions, do you know where any other locations were, I fancy one of those caravans at the end of the runway at wherever it is.
Superb shots by the way.

Hey, it was only a joke, unc took some fab piccies but he is not the only one who can take pictures. We all take piccies when we can but crown copyright stops us publishing, however here is a taste of what we can do.

There’s more to being on BBMF than taking pictures stormin, surprised you found the time what with your hectic routine. Only joking mate , anyhow i hope your keeping the standards high now that your the training nco. Bye the way what aperture setting did you have that compact on again.

Fantastic shots B130
About shot #6… The Hurri head on with gun barrel/turret details…do you know whereabouts it was taken?
The background looked like it may have an aviation connection ??

Thanks again for posting

Ah, I see. I didn’t understand Mk9’s remark about why do you think he doesn’t work for BBMF anymore. Why throw you off the flight for taking pictures. It’s hardly secret equipment and, as you said, you can’t service the planes in the air.

It wasn’t me Mike  it was Stormin. 😀 get a grip Mike 😀 😀 Anna

With any luck they’ll have someone in each of the turrets. Waste of space if they don’t. Whilst they’re there they could do us all a favour and drop a couple of 500 pounders on Downing Street. Hopefully get rid of TB and the wicked witch

Stormin’s comment was a joke, unc wasn’t kicked off the flight he was promoted and so he had to move on. Hope this clears things up.

If i’d have known they would of kicked me off the fliight for taking pics while flying i would’nt have bothered its not like i can service the aircraft in flight but eh we all have to move on hence me being on typhoon now 🙂
