The old RAF Abingdon gate guard, Spitfire Mk24 (?) PK624 went to Duxford i think some time back for restoration to flight??
Any news on its progress?
An aim of mine would be to get it to fly back to Abingdon for one of my Abingdon Fayre events in the near future, costs permitting! 😀

Nice idea, however when I last saw her she was a bare shell in storage in the TFC hangar at DUX. However I’ve not seen her for a while, this may mean that restoration has started. If so I think she’ll be a few years away yet.
