Was at an event in Antwerp this morning, and it looked as if the Spitfire had problems raising its undercart. For several minutes it was flying steep dives and pull ups, with one of its wheels almost complete out, and the other almost complete in. After a while, they both “went in” and the machine performed a normal landing. I doubt this was a normal routine, but whatever it was, it had no srious results. BW Roger

I was at Duxford yesterday afternoon when it returned from Antwerp and gave a short display. Lovely sight and sound!
Gear all OK and no problems landing either.
Also got a fly-by from the DC2 on its way home from Coventry, and of course all the Duxford residents returned during the afternoon as well, so plenty to see in the air.
