Dear all,
My first post on this brilliant forum to try to find some help to identify a propeller.
First, a short presentation to introduce myself : I m french but i living in Hamburg to build some airplane for a big european company (no name but you can imagine :eagerness:).
I have yesterday the opportunity to buy for a good price a propeller blade. The seller was a young german man, explaining me that this propeller was always at home by his grandfather.
The story (but withtout garanties that it was the true!!!) of this grand father was that a Spitfire, escorting some bombers above Hamburg, was shoot down and has making an emergency landing in this familliy farm.
The farmer (the grandpa) has quickly taking some “souvenirs” including this propeller blade.
This is the object in question :
I m not a specialist of WW II british propeller, but it look like a Rotex, and some people are thinking that it could be a Sea Fury propeller of the 50´s.
If you have some element of answers …..
Thanks a lot for your help.
