Hello Can anyone out there help me to id this Spitfire Relic that crashed at Broomhill Farm Wychling in kent.Piloted by Douglas Mackenzie Davidson. on the 6/1/46 of 453 Squadron.The Spitfire was TZ106 (XIVE)any Knowledge on the crash would be helpful, Also to id this relic MANY THANKS again. Yes definitely Griffon as has a stamp on cooling pipe GN 30981

Presumably that would be “Griffon” rather than “Merlin” if we’re talking Mk.XIVs here.
