An enquiry has come in to the Historic Aircraft Association from an event organiser, seeking to obtain a replica static Spit ( or similar) to hire for a public event, North of Manchester in late May.
I wonder if anyone has some useful pointers which I could pass on ? Thanks

He still has the GRP one, he’s made a start on the metal one, which is going to be a MkV.

I didn’t realise Mike was still “dragging one around” thought that had ended with the sale of the RBL replica that he built.
Last time I was in contact he had a GRP one BR954 and was making another metal one.

Obviously I’m prepared to be proven wrong but I think there is only the choice of two, (when it comes to them actually turning up on the day) those being Simply Spitfire, and the Lytham St Annes ; both have internet pages and or Facebook.

Try Terry Arlow of Simply Spitfire – he may already be fully booked up but you never know…
