Spitfire Reproduction crash in Gympie – 22 October 2010

G’day all

Sad news, an Australian Pilot was killed flying a Spitfire reproduction at Gympie, Australia last Friday (22 October). There is an English connection, the pilot (Barry) was largely based in Cambridge where he was employed as a scientist and flew Tiger Moths for many years over in England.

I have been deliberately vague about his name as I don’t think it has been released yet. The crash occurred just after he turned on to finals
