That half chin cowl came from a museum near Twente. Don’t know if it
was recovered in that area or that it was a replacement for one of the Dutch Spits that were based there after the war. We did get some bits of H-33 that crashed into the Twente control tower, including frame 11 but that has dissapeared from our storage area. Figures:cool:

Any ideas?

Thanks for that, for some reason I got it into my head that they were done in black with a stencil.

602 Squadron, Flying battle damage cat E, 11 April 1945.

Hand painting all or part of the RAF serial on the inside of detachable panels was usual and common practice.
