Hi there,
Does anyone have, or know where it is still possible to obtain a copy of Spitifre Survivors – Then and now for a reasonable price please?
Would appreciate a PM with any leads.
Thank you.

Can anyone predict at the current rate of resurrection what year we will be on when we get 20,351 Survivors?

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a little follow-up volume – perhaps even as a little booklet in one of the mags?
I do remember a great one years ago that listed all the flyable examples. Had it for years.

Mark12. Perhaps you and Gordon could add updates to a website that is for subscribers only. £10? per year. The website could have a bulletin board for subscribers to discuss spitfire news 🙂

I keep a an Excel spread sheet going with all the updates…currently 173 entries.

A copy of that would be nice to compliment the two volumes 🙂

Is it something you’ll make available? I have both volumes & would be nice to print off updates to go with them every now & then.

You would be surprised at the amount of ‘Spitfire activity’ since Volume I in 2011.
The wing from Orkney for starters…

I think you mean 24hrs (or less ?) Robert, as my copies went for a mere £180.

Its a fantastic record giving a picture of all the Spitfires at the publication date.
I will never be selling my copies. (Perhaps my son will .. well into the future!) May pay for a couple of days in the Retirement Home.

Ah yes, I suppose any new print run requires an update. Well I hope you kept some copies back off yourself. Nice pension pot! 😉

Not a chance.
It actually needs updating.

Another print run?
By: Mark12 - 3rd August 2015 at 19:51
A bargain. 🙂
It has been noted that in the US they have been asking as much as $620.00.

Is £250 reasonable? That’s how much it is going for on amazon.
