Can anyone point me in the right direct of a website or book or any other source for that matter that chronologically maps out what style of wheel was fitted to which MK of Spitfire
For example the heart shaped design (5 spoke rim) or the 3 spoke rim etc. I understand there would be cross over between MK’s. Were Seafire wheels any different to Spitfire ones ?

The 5 heart one is single piece AH2061 (from memory). Fitted prob up to and including Mk5 or V. AH10019 were the split rim main wheels fitted to spits up to at least 9/16. Griffons had 3 spoke split rims.
Tail wheel wise AH2184 for most spits. Some late Seafires had a wider rim. Split rim in both cases. All wheels made by Dunlop. How sad am I?! Hope I got the first part number correct!
