Graham,
I have a PA28 going in for paint on Monday so will price up the ones we use give you the size etc…. you might need 2 for it,
Rolls Royce use the paint on theirs
Thanks will appreciate that we didnt get it done in time for Chelmsford and it was very slippery especially for 80 year old veterans.

20 yards/60ft 😉
Enough for a Squadron of Spits LOL:diablo: I suppose if I could afford that it would not seem so expensive.

You do not want to be throwing any stuff on like from “B and Q” tems, it has the grit on that will be hard and in all probability will damage the skins when walked on.
Piper do a walkway that extends the with of a Cherokee wing width, it is the 3M self adhesive sheet in black. Piper UK might help there.
others are try http://www.adamsaviation.com/ as they do it too in tolls, but make sure you get the adhesive stuff, I have a sheet on none adhesive lying around at work and it is think.
You could also try 3M as they will sell it to you, but its as a lot of things in life is not cheap. This is the type of suff, but is probably far to narrow for your needs. ask them!

I know a certain spitfire restoration company used to purchase their anti slip walkway from a company called 3M. They used to do a range of sizes and colours, even translusant.

it should be wing walk compound or cut from a roll of a/c anti slip just cut to size pull off the backing and stick it on
hello Beach
Where can you buy the stick on stuff ?

I think resin might be a bit brittle and will crack and craze, you need something a bit more flexible like PVA but stronger
Yes i think you are right, even a thin layer would probably crack the moment someone steps on it.

Thanks all. In my ignorance i thought it was some kind of sand paper glued on.
It can be – I have used that kind of material in the past – but on a P-51 – worked well.

You do ask the most searching of questions, don’t you?
When the chap showed me, I didn’t think to ask what glue he’d used; you could try water proof PVA on a spare piece of metal, as a test piece.
LOL should have been a lawyer :diablo: having thought about it I might try fibreglass resin then sprinkle on the grit.

Thanks
Graham
