Good evening all,
I have a set of original Spitfire XIV & XIX pilot’s notes with some interesting markings on the cover (see attached)
Searching the internet would suggest the name is Squadron Leader Banning-Lover and I have found a potted hsitory of Spitfire PS908 –
“PS908 PRXIX G66 1PP Benson 24-4-45 542S 17-6-45 8OTU 18-11-46 transfer Bomber Command 18-9-50 AGT VA 13-7-51 nea 7-10-53 sold scrap Lawsons Metals 1-10-54”
(quoted directly from – http://www.airhistory.org.uk/spitfire/p091.html )
However I am struggling to understand how the two are connected, plus no idea how 231 PROCU fits into the equation?
Can anyone help clarify?
Regards,
Jon
