I remember seeing a pic of it in that book, but my copy isn’t to hand. I also thought it was taken more from the port quarter, so the cannon weren’t visible anyway.

Oh well, sans cannon it is! 🙂

A picture of it on P.436 of “Spitfire – The History” shows it all white without cannon fairings.

As far as I know she’s still at Cosford, but she’s dismantled and in storage.
