Is that roundel blue too light?
or the greys too dark?
does anyone know if the serial font is correct?
Its not correct for a Mk16, blah blah blah

Etc etc etc you know the rest………….

I think WDS also flew a IX, but I could be wrong….

You can just make out “EJC” under the masking (and, indeed, the description gives those markings, too) – Wg Cdr “Jack” Charles? :confused:

If that is masking on the rear fuselage it could be for some wing leaders personel codes, the French scheme was refreshingly different but yes she does look well.Looks like an Italy 1945 scheme to me possibly Wilfred Duncan Smiths Spit although that was a Mk.VIII.
