Steve
I would suggest ML417 & SM832 shot Dec05/Jan06 at Chino and local.

Hello Mark 12,thanks for putting me right on the year that this was shot. When SM832 was sold (to whom i cant remember but i’m sure you could tell me) she must of had the wing tips removed. I supposed that she was origionally a clipped wing MKXIV. When we were fitting the tips there were some guys from skycraft fitting a new prop because of a landing incident!!! when prop was fitted engine funs were needed to check things out & also to check the CSU, so engine was run to 2500 rpm & it was the first time of experiencing laying over the tail as ballast to keep it down. Think there were 6 of us doing it. You wouldnt believe the amount of thrust from a 5 bladed prop!!!!! real job to hang on. Great experience though!!!!!!

More than a strong whiff of fromage about this min epic! I guess this is one that John Malkovich did to “pay the rent.” Rather a waste of talent. Still I suppose it brings in some dollars to help keep the aircraft in the air.
On the flying side it is definitely filmed in the States as credits – if you can last that long without being sick – say the Spit drivers are Steve Hinton and John Maloney and the production company is Condor from French Valley Airport in California.

Hi 11group, nice flying but i must say cockpit scenes were a bit naf, canopy was missing in some of the shots & as for the stocking , i think they should have followed her in & taken the other 1. Nice legs though. I guess the Spits were MKXIV’s & film shot at least 9 yrs ago because one of them, SM 832 i fitted tips too on air field near Lyon in April 1998 when Christophe Jaquard owned the plane.
