Spitfires At Goodwood

According to my dad, two Spitfires flew over here about 1pm heading for Goodwood and landed there.

Didn’t catch them myself, but just wondered if anyone knew who’s they were and what they doing there?

[Edit] Just seen the DX Update site and see that PV202 & TD248 went off after a photo shoot with the ARC Harvard so could could well have been them.

Cheers

Thanks MK12.

I didn’t realise that David Green had passed away. 🙁

They were there for the memorial service of Group Captain David Green, founder of the Spitfire Society, at the St Andrews Church,Tangmere.

Right on the nail, at 13.45 hrs. they flew over the church as parties gathered. The Tr.IX was as tight in to the Mk XVI as you are ever likely see.

Moving and splendid.
