Spits recovered in PNG paging Mark12

So this listed was posted on Wixs while its not even close to the true amount of stuff recovered what caught my eye was the three Spit recovered in 77.

I’ve never scene these on any master Spit list so I throw it over to you Mark12 what say you on this.

Oh and if anyone wants to talk about the list lets do because I’m sure that some of the items on here make for interesting discussion.:D

there’s no hurricanes in png or the sollemans but there maybe around burma and maybe some other intresting types

In Peter Vacher’s book on his Hurricane, he mentions that there were a few Spitfires in the jungles on the India/Burma borders.

Not sure if anyone has any further knowledge on these aircraft?

Thanks guys ,so the next question is do you think there are any more laying about in the Jungle. I’ve really never heard anyone except David in passing talking about Spits. were Huricians used in PNG if so whats the chance of any laying around in the bush.
