Splinter Camo Question

Wondering if you guys can help (especially Cliff Barnes or Papa Lima).

I was reading earlier, an old mag from August 1976 (Air Pictorial), and they state that the splinter camo was a new concept then being applied to the new SH-37’s and to be applied in the shop to all the other Viggens (SK-37’s, JA-37’s and SF-37’s, at the time the AJ-37’s weren’t around).

They also mention this camo being applied to the J-35 Draken fleet as well, now I remember back in the mid 80’s hearing rhoumors of this but never really saw any. Were any painted as such or did the Sweds opt not to go for it?

If they did, does any one out there have any pics of a J-35 (or derivitive) in the splinter camo?
