Fair point about the advertising, but it is in a private area and not delivered so it not really a big issue I would think

Few and going to notice and perhaps ever fewer will be bothered.

Still got a few brains working today and that’s never a bad thing:D

But why is that a mistake?

If it was current when painted it would have been a mistake to leave it off.

That’s a good point Garry, but I just thought it was a bit premature of them to paint the logo on there…and now that it is clear that they will not be becoming a member of the Star Alliance for sometime, I can’t imagine that Star Alliance themselves would be too happy for AI to be still showing the logo off?

In my eyes, you can’t advertise that you are a member of something or soon to be a member of something, until it has actually happened, or am I wrong to think this…?

Anyone know when AI are suppose to recieve their first 787?

OK

But why is that a mistake?

A mistake being something done that shouldn’t have been

That was probably correct to add it at the time of painting and when it gets prepared for service will be removed.

If it was current when painted it would have been a mistake to leave it off.

I doubt if someone would have been taken off more important duties to run round updating a livery that’s going nowhere for a little while.

Star Alliance logo?

Well done to EGTC…if you look closely, you’ll notice that the Star Alliance logo has been put on this aircraft, however, Air India’s integration into the alliance has recently been suspended because they failed to meet the minimum membership conditions that they had agreed to back in December 2007.:)

in true tradition of aviation lately they forgot to put the wheels down but with divine intervention they landed on a passing van and that saved the paintwork and the day?????

The aircraft doesn’t have any engines? Or is that because they are not mounted until after painting?

22 spokes in the flag not 24?

Engineer wearing yellow dayglo, not orange? (mandatory in Snohomish County)

Using black bin liners to cover windows, instead of white swing bin liners?

Aircraft destined for United Arab Emirates, not Air India?

Some jokers fitted a balloon basket where the engine should go?

Nope, no idea.

Enlighten us.
